Description
The City of Lewiston is soliciting sealed proposals for one latest-model one-ton pickup truck for the Public Works Department's Water Division. Acceptable models include a Chevrolet 3500 HD, GMC 3500HD, or approved equal, with model years 2026-2027, regular cab, 4x4, minimum 11,000-pound GVWR, minimum 2,400-pound payload, minimum 14,000-pound towing capacity, gasoline V-8 engine, heavy-duty transmission and cooling systems, and an 8-foot bed with a spray-in liner. The truck must include specified commercial equipment and accessories, including all-terrain tires with a matching spare and TPMS, dual batteries and alternators, trailer brake controller, upfitter switches, towing package, snowplow preparation, camper mirrors, mud flaps, six sets of keys or fobs, and dark blue paint. The proposal must address a minimum three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and five-year/60,000-mile drivetrain warranty, include a complete build data sheet, identify any exceptions, and separately price an optional extended-cab upgrade. The truck must support removal and reinstallation of an under-hood V-Mac engine-driven air compressor from an existing 2022 Chevrolet 3500 pickup; the compressor installation is an additional requirement, while optional items must be priced separately.
