Description
The City of Lewiston is soliciting sealed proposals for one new enclosed aluminum contractor trailer for its Public Works Department to transport spill-contaminated material and equipment. The trailer must be a 2026–2027 model, at least 18 feet in deck length, 8 feet 6 inches wide, and have a minimum 89-inch interior height. Acceptable manufacturers include Nitro, Look, and Formula, or an approved equal. Required features include tandem 5,200-pound axles with oil-bath bearings and electric brakes, heavy-duty tires, a marine plywood floor, an installed MaxxAir ceiling fan, a left-side entry door, yellow exterior finish if available, LED DOT-compliant lighting, four lockable exterior aluminum cabinets, and a heavy-duty pull-down rear ramp door. Bidders must complete and sign the proposal form, identify any exceptions, and separately price optional 16-inch tire upgrades and additional rear/side backup lights.
