Description
The Town of Jackson is seeking two new, unused, latest-model 3/4-ton 4x4 regular-cab pickup truck cab-and-chassis units. Required specifications include a gasoline 6.6-liter V8 engine, 10-speed automatic transmission, maximum 142-inch wheelbase, specified suspension and braking systems, aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires, cold-climate equipment, towing features, power accessories, air conditioning, and a white exterior. The units are to be supplied without beds and must meet or exceed the detailed minimum specifications. Bidders must complete the enclosed specification and bid proposal forms, identify any exceptions, provide a proposed delivery date, and submit a letter describing manufacturer warranties and the authorized warranty service location. The bid also requires factory invoices at delivery and repair, overhaul, and wiring manuals within 30 days after delivery. The solicitation includes two specified vehicle trade-ins and requires a bid bond or certified cashier’s check equal to 5% of the total bid when the bid exceeds $100,000. Warranty coverage must include at least three years or 36,000 miles generally and five years or 100,000 miles for the engine, with warranty repairs available through a dealer in Teton County, Wyoming.
