Description
Mendocino County Probation is seeking a contractor to provide on-site male and female haircuts and trims for youth under age 25 at the Mendocino County Juvenile Hall. Services must be provided at least monthly, as requested by facility staff, on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The contractor must provide all tools, products, cleaning solutions, towels, and other supplies; only clipper cuts are permitted, and razors, scissors, glass mirrors, bobby pins, intricate designs, and other prohibited or unsafe items may not be used. Equipment must be sanitized in accordance with California barbering and cosmetology standards, and services must comply with applicable juvenile-facility requirements. Personnel must provide their experience, education or training, and license numbers; complete a County-provided background clearance and PREA training; maintain professional conduct and resident confidentiality; and work under facility staff supervision. The proposal must include an executive summary, scope of services, company background and experience, cost plan and narrative, exceptions, references, non-collusion certification, insurance coverage, addenda acknowledgment if applicable, and the specified attachments. The contract term is three years with up to two additional one-year extensions.
