Description
Madison County is seeking a contractor to provide automatic gate operator installations, maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs. The work may include welding brackets or mounts, cutting concrete or asphalt, and repairing gate mechanisms, rollers, and chains. The contractor must provide labor, materials, tools, and equipment; inspect jobs and provide written estimates before work begins; and respond to emergencies within one hour and non-emergencies within 24 hours. Emergency and maintenance service must be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Pricing is based on fixed labor rates, with materials and certain other costs billed at actual cost plus a 10% markup. The contract requires at least five years of relevant company experience and at least three qualified service technicians with five years of combined experience. The bidder must also provide three references from similar repair or maintenance contracts held within the past two years.
