Description
The Navy seeks applications from eligible companies to demonstrate cargo unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for Marine Corps tactical logistics. Participants must provide a 3–5-page white paper describing their technical approach and UAS maturity, along with a completed questionnaire. Demonstration activities include setup and flight preparation, refueling, and up to five autonomous flights. Required flights include a 100-pound payload mission with a 40-nautical-mile outbound and return-empty leg, and a 150-pound payload mission with a 10-nautical-mile outbound and return-empty leg, both without refueling. The UAS must meet stated speed, altitude, launch/recovery, and transponder requirements, and applicants must provide lost-link procedures and range-validation data. Applications will be evaluated against technical and operational criteria, including payload and range performance, powerplant, autonomy, communications, survivability, logistics, and environmental adaptability. Selected participants may be invited to a demonstration and may subsequently be considered for one or more Other Transaction prototype agreements; demonstration selection does not guarantee an award. Selectees must execute a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement before participating, and must join the Naval Aviation Systems Consortium to be eligible for a potential prototype award.
