Description
The Township of Hazlet is soliciting contractors to provide snow plowing services anywhere within the township. Contractors must furnish qualified operators and heavy-duty plowing vehicles, including four-wheel-drive Class 3–5 vehicles with 9-foot plows and Class 6-or-higher vehicles with differential locks and minimum 10-foot plows. Work includes plowing designated streets curb to curb during authorized storm events, reporting to the Department of Public Works for assignments, maintaining fuel availability, providing vehicle registrations and insurance documentation, repairing property damage, and supplying employee contact information. Vehicles must be properly registered, insured, inspected, and compliant with New Jersey requirements. Pricing is requested by vehicle class on an hourly, per-vehicle basis for the 2026–2027, 2027–2028, and 2028–2029 snow seasons. The Township may award separate contracts and may award an initial one-year term with two 12-month extension options. Bidders must submit the required proposal forms, ownership and compliance certifications, vehicle documentation, insurance evidence, references, and other checklist items. Subcontracting more than 50% of the entire contract is prohibited.
