Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is soliciting a firm-fixed-price quote for 21,000 each of NSN 8455-00-261-4654, branch officer insignia for Naval Academy and NROTC midshipmen, Type I, Class 2, right. The end product must be domestically manufactured and supplied by a vendor certified by The Institute of Heraldry. Delivery is FOB destination, with a stated delivery schedule of 161 days after order and a required delivery date of May 28, 2027. The contractor must provide five first-article samples within 30 calendar days after award, subject to government testing and approval. Packaging, marking, labeling, inspection, and shipment must comply with the cited military standards and DLA requirements, including MIL-STD-2073-1E, MIL-STD-129, and RP001. Each pair must be mounted with its attaching devices on white sulfite cardboard, sealed in a clear polyethylene film bag, and packed in specified intermediate boxes. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses and requires domestic-origin components under the Berry Amendment.
