Model Irrigation District No. 18 is establishing a Small Works Roster for contractors interested in performing construction projects estimated to cost less than $350,000. Contractors must be properly licensed and bonded in Washington State and certify their status as a small business, which includes woman, veteran, and/or minority-owned businesses, or meet the definition of a "small business concern" under relevant statutes. The District aims to award contracts with a preference for these categories where feasible. The roster will include contractors for various categories such as excavation and earth work, landscape, pipe installation/plumbing, asphalt paving and/or patching, concrete work, general construction/repair, backflow assembly testing, painting, and asbestos and hazardous material inspection and abatement.
