Description
The City of Spokane is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to completely refurbish and rebuild the bodies of two Freightliner M2106 Rodder Trucks. One truck is scheduled for refurbishment in 2026 and the second in 2027 under a two-year contract; the chassis are in good operating condition and the work is limited to the truck bodies. The scope includes dismantling and rebuilding the enclosure, deck, hydrant tank, storage rails, toolboxes, drive head, and cage frame; replacing wear components, bearings, chains, hydraulic hoses, pumps, PTO, valves, motors, wiring, lighting, safety devices, batteries, HVAC equipment, and other components; fabricating fenders; repairing frames and welds; installing a lockable man door; repainting and applying industrial textured lining, decals, and DOT tape; and performing final assembly, testing, leak and pressure checks, functional quality control, painting, and detailing. A post-rebuild Federal DOT inspection and written findings report are required. Alternate pricing is requested for installation on the existing chassis, an additional one-year parts-and-labor warranty, and cab and chassis painting.
