Description
The City seeks an interdisciplinary consultant team to update the master plan for the Tri-Park Area, establishing a long-term framework for recreation, public access, connectivity, environmental stewardship, and phased capital investment. The approximately 70-acre area includes Liberty Park, Cedar River Park, and part of the Cedar River Natural Area. The work should build on the adopted Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan, previous planning, and established priorities, and evaluate integration of recently acquired property adjacent to Cedar River Park. In parallel, the selected team will advance priority improvements at Liberty Park through design and permitting, construction documents, and bidding support. Planning considerations include athletic fields, a historic community building, a stadium grandstand, and an expanded regional skate park or non-motorized wheeled sports facility. The team should bring expertise in park planning, landscape architecture, architecture, engineering, athletic and skate park design, natural and cultural resources, environmental permitting, inclusive public engagement, cost estimating, and construction documentation.
