Description
The City of Charlevoix is soliciting sealed proposals for its 2026 fall tree-planting program. The annual program includes planting 22 trees across specified species, including maples, oak, sycamore, horse chestnut, Kousa dogwood, Kentucky coffeetree, American hophornbeam, and serviceberry or hackberry. Trees must be 2.5 to 3 inches in caliper and installed in accordance with detailed requirements for soil preparation, planting depth, root-ball and container handling, watering, staking, fertilization, mulching, and inspection. The solicitation also requests a planted price for an additional tree screen near the new composting facility, consisting of 60 healthy evergreen trees between 4 and 6 feet tall. Proposers should identify the proposed species, sizes, and quantities and provide total planting costs. Gator Bags are not required for the annual program.
