Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District, in partnership with Macomb County Public Works, is seeking contractors for a firm-fixed-price construction contract for the 9-Mile Pump Station project. The work includes constructing a new pump station to separate the 8-1/2 Mile Relief Drain from the 9-Mile Drain and reduce flood risks and protect water quality in southeast Michigan. The contractor will provide all materials, labor, equipment, supervision, and administration for demolition, utility rerouting and connections, grading, excavation, steel pile foundation work, connections to existing active high-capacity storm sewers, construction of a single-story pumphouse, and site restoration. The project has an 880-day period of performance, requires a bid bond, and requires use of a project labor agreement. Amendment 0002 was issued on September 18, 2026; bid inquiries remain closed pending a forthcoming amendment.
