Description
Lane Community College seeks a qualified tax preparation provider to prepare and electronically file federal and state income tax returns for domestic students and provide specialized tax preparation, including Form 1040-NR returns and treaty analysis, for international students. The initial service population is up to 300 students, with the number potentially adjusted; the selected firm must notify the college and obtain prior authorization if the number is expected to exceed 300. The scope also includes physical or virtual tax clinics during peak tax season (February through April) and physical or virtual financial literacy workshops covering topics such as education tax credits and Form 1098-T. Proposals should describe relevant experience, staff qualifications and student-to-staff ratios, service delivery and software, privacy and security practices, and transparent per-student pricing. References from similar institutional partnerships are part of the evaluation.
