Description
Hamilton County seeks one or more qualified accounting firms to provide bookkeeping services and prepare required federal and state reports for eight nonprofit volunteer fire and rescue departments. Services vary by department and may include adjusting journal entries, annual financial statements, bank reconciliations, board-minute and invoice review, fixed-asset management, IRS Forms 941 and 990, QuickBooks Online transaction entry, Tennessee annual financial reports, and transaction classification. The awarded firm will work with each department and coordinate with the County's Auditor's Office, which will provide financial statement review. The County may identify and negotiate additional tasks as needed. Proposers must demonstrate at least five consecutive years of relevant experience, nonprofit bookkeeping experience, required licenses and certifications, and qualified staff. Responses must address the RFP's requirements in order, include a detailed pricing proposal, and provide three to five references from current clients with at least two years of service. The initial contract term is three years, with up to five additional one-year renewal terms. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is required. Submit one original hard-copy proposal and two flash drives, each containing the complete proposal as a single PDF.
