Description

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking firms to provide expert professional environmental design services under a task-order program, in either or both of two categories: Environmental Design and Asbestos Abatement. Environmental Design services may include environmental studies, site investigations, assessments, remediation plans, environmental permits, contract drawings, specifications, cost estimates, compliance reports, waste-management planning, sampling plans, and training programs. Asbestos Abatement services may include field investigations, bulk sampling, asbestos-containing-material surveys, lead and mold assessments, sampling reports, abatement recommendations, cost estimates, contract documents, and review of abatement designs. Work may involve the Authority’s airports, bridges, tunnels, railroad facilities, marine terminals, and other transportation facilities in the Port District. The agreement will be issued for a four-year term, with specific services solicited through future task-order requests; the Authority may retain multiple firms and does not guarantee a minimum amount of work. Proposers must meet stated environmental engineering, asbestos-project-designer, investigator, licensing, and experience requirements. The proposal must use the Authority’s provided template and forms, address staff and firm qualifications, include applicable licenses and certificates, provide an MBE/WBE/SDVOB participation plan, submit cost information, and include a conflict-of-interest statement when applicable. Required insurance includes commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation and employers’ liability, professional liability, and pollution liability coverage.
