Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is soliciting qualifications from architectural and engineering firms for the replacement of the existing kitchen steam heating system and installation of a new direct-expansion HVAC system capable of providing heating and cooling at Blackburn Correctional Complex. The project has an identified construction budget of $1,000,000 and will use traditional design-bid-build delivery. Required services include investigation of existing conditions; programming; schematic design; design development; construction documents; cost estimating; bidding assistance; permitting coordination; construction administration; architectural, mechanical, electrical, and related engineering; utility modifications; controls integration; building alterations; testing and balancing requirements; commissioning specifications; and phasing recommendations to minimize disruption to kitchen operations. The consultant team must include, at minimum, an architect, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, and structural engineer, with applicable Kentucky registrations or permits. The response must include a cover letter, project experience, proposed project team, workplace and workload information, SF 330 Part II for the lead firm, required affidavits, Kentucky permit and registration information, and an official signature page, submitted as a bookmarked single PDF unless the file-size limit requires multiple files.
