Description
The University of Kentucky is soliciting sealed lump-sum proposals from prime contractors for the M.I. King Library Asset Preservation project. Available trade packages include TP-001 Demolition and Abatement, TP-002 General Trades, TP-003 Mechanical and Plumbing, TP-004 Electrical, and TP-005 Elevator. Contractors must bid all phases of their selected work to and through the prime contractor and use the University's official proposal forms. The apparent low bidder may be required to attend a post-bid meeting. Substantial completion is required within 236 consecutive calendar days from commencement, followed by final completion within 30 additional consecutive calendar days. Bids require a bid guarantee of at least 5% of the base bid; the successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds. The award will be based on the lowest responsible bid and the University's best value determination.
