Description
Wake Forest University's Educating Character Initiative is offering two institutional grant opportunities for accredited U.S. colleges and universities. Institutional Impact Grants range from $100,000 to $1,000,000 and support substantial, sustained efforts to educate character among undergraduate populations, including curricular and co-curricular programs, faculty and staff initiatives, assessment, resource development, and multi-institutional collaborations. Capacity-Building Grants provide up to $50,000 for institutions developing the capacity to educate and embed character in their institutional contexts. Institutional Impact Grant applicants first submit a Letter of Inquiry and may later be invited to submit a full proposal. Required materials include a proposal narrative, project-leader CVs, proof of accreditation, an Excel budget, a signed institutional support letter, and audited financial statements. Capacity-Building Grant applicants submit a proposal narrative, Excel budget, signed institutional support letter, and audited financial statements. Optional supporting letters and other artifacts may also be included. The solicitation states that Institutional Impact Grant activities may run for up to three years beginning in summer 2027, while Capacity-Building Grant activities may run for no more than one year beginning in summer 2027. Generative or assistive AI is not permitted in composing grant proposals.
