Description
The Southwest Minnesota Arts Council's Fiscal Year 2027 Equipment and Facilities Improvement Grant program provides grants of up to $10,000 for equipment purchases and facilities improvements that strengthen an organization's capacity to serve arts needs in the region. Eligible requests may include sound and lighting equipment, structural and accessibility improvements, office equipment, and storage. The program is open primarily to qualifying nonprofit arts organizations, with eligibility also available to certain non-arts organizations and Minnesota governmental entities whose projects directly support community arts needs. Applications must describe the project's impact, organizational and artistic merit, and feasibility, and include required organizational and financial information. Required materials include a project budget, board-member list, and, when applicable, a facility cooperative agreement and fiscal sponsor agreement; an evaluation tool and supplemental materials are optional. Projects must be completed by June 30, 2027, and no grant funds may be spent before the project start date. Applications may be submitted through the online grant system, by email with required attachments, or on paper by mail or arranged drop-off.
