Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of redesigning, fabricating, testing, and delivering a Form, Fit, Function, and Interface (F3I) replacement for the obsolete ALR-67(V)3 Multi-Channel Analog-to-Digital (MCAD) Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). This effort is driven by a critical Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) issue, as the original MCAD ASIC is obsolete, existing inventories are depleted, and original design documentation is unavailable. The upgrade must maintain full compatibility with the current system while addressing obsolescence. The required capabilities include the production of custom 352-pin Ball Grid Array (BGA) MCAD ASICs. These ASICs must be 80-MHz, 22-channel, 7-bit Analog/Digital Converters with an on-chip Digital-Analog Converter (DAC). They will accept 22-channel analog video inputs and output 22-channels of digital video at 80-MHz. The anticipated Period of Performance is 24 months, with a Cost-Plus Fixed Fee contract type anticipated.
