The California Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting bids for chiller maintenance and incidental repair services at the Veterans Home in Ventura, California. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, and expertise necessary for the upkeep and repair of specified chiller equipment, cooling towers, air handlers, and associated pumps and VFD drives. Services are to be performed during standard business hours unless prior approval for overtime is obtained. The contract also requires compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including prevailing wage requirements and an environmental safety data sheet notification. Key services include annual cooling season start-up and inspection, refrigerant conservation, semi-annual operational checks, emergency repair services with a 2-hour response acknowledgment, and incidental repair services. Contractors must hold appropriate California State Contractor's Licenses (C-38 or C-20) and maintain active DIR Public Works Contractor Registration. Technicians must be trained and experienced, with proof of training required. All work must adhere to safety regulations and prevailing wage laws.
