Description
Baltimore County is seeking contractors to provide on-call snow removal and deicing services for County roadways, overpasses, and bridges under the direction of the Bureau of Highways. Contractors must provide the required vehicles and equipment, including snowplows and salt spreaders, as well as operators, fuel, maintenance, communications, and related labor. The County will provide road salt. Services may include plowing, salt application, front-end loader operations, emergency call-outs, and 24-hour, seven-day availability during snow events. The contract has a one-year term with up to four additional one-year renewal options. Contractors must provide equipment listings, photographs of each proposed vehicle, current vehicle insurance documentation, a description of relevant government experience, and at least three similar-work references. The solicitation includes hourly pricing for multiple vehicle and loader classes, minimum payment guarantees for certain equipment, and mandatory pre-season inspections and meeting requirements.
