Description
The City of Virginia Beach is soliciting sealed bids for Centerville Turnpike Phase II, a transportation infrastructure project involving improvements along approximately 1.9 miles between Kempsville Road and Indian River Road. The project includes roadway construction and traffic-control features on Centerville Turnpike, Folkes Driveway, Brandon Boulevard, Jake Sears Road, and Indian River Road; stormwater drainage improvements; pipe, endwall, pond-liner, and stormwater-management work; and construction of sound barriers. The project affects wetlands and open water, with temporary and permanent impacts addressed through federal permitting and compensatory mitigation. Addenda revise the project manual, environmental requirements, wage-rate information, and project scope, including removal of bioretention basins. Bids must be submitted electronically through the ERP System Supplier Portal or delivered to the Purchasing Division Office, and bidders must acknowledge applicable addenda with their submissions.
