Description
The City of Virginia Beach is soliciting bids for an annual renewable indefinite quantity construction contract for various minor new construction projects throughout the city. The work includes but is not limited to the construction of sidewalks, curbs, curb and gutter, asphalt patches, asphalt milling and paving, concrete entrances, manholes, catch basins, stormwater best management practices (BMPs), multi-use paths, ADA improvements, pipe installation, construction of turn lanes, and other roadway construction, as well as reconstruction of streets and other items generally deemed incidental to roadway, drainage, stormwater facilities, water, and sewer pipe construction. The contract will be awarded based on unit prices for a comprehensive schedule of items covering drainage structures, earthwork, asphalt concrete placement, incidental concrete items, sidewalks, retaining walls, fences, demolition, water and sanitary sewer facilities, traffic control, and other related work. The initial term is one year with options for three additional one-year renewals.
