Description
The City seeks a contractor to prepare two locations for prefabricated restrooms and complete the associated construction work. Scope includes site preparation and foundations, concrete sidewalks and flatwork, water and sewer connections, electrical service and conduit, lighting, receptacles, and related site improvements. The prefabricated restroom units are purchased and set in place by others; the contractor must connect their utilities when delivered. Work also includes permits and inspections, required bonds and insurance, and project closeout materials. The estimated project budget is $200,000, and the work must be completed within 60 calendar days after the commencement date established in the Notice to Proceed. Proposals are evaluated on cost, schedule, personnel and relevant experience, reputation and references, and proximity. A mandatory site visit is required; contractors may attend either of the two scheduled sessions. The proposal requires a 5% proposal bond or cashier’s check, contractor registration before opening, a completed proposal form, a felony conviction notification form, and other specified qualifications and experience materials. The contractor must perform the work with its own forces unless the City approves planned subcontracting before proposal opening.
