Description
The City of Elgin, Illinois is soliciting bids for the Shales Parkway - Various East Side Streets Resurfacing Project. This project generally spans approximately 18,750 linear feet and includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for various quantities of work. Key components include hot-mix asphalt patching, milling, binder course, and surface course, as well as concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement, adjustment or reconstruction of structures, pavement markings, and landscape restoration. Bidders are required to submit an original bid bond of 5% of the bid amount and all other bid documents electronically by 3:00 PM local time on Thursday, June 25, 2026. A performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the total contract price will be required from the successful bidder. The project also requires adherence to Illinois Prevailing Wage and Elgin Responsible Bidders Ordinance and Residency Requirements. Several forms, including an Affidavit of Illinois Business Office, Bidder's Employee Utilization Form, References, Certification Requirements, Sexual Harassment Policy, Apprenticeship and Training Program Certification, and Insurance Requirements, must be submitted with the proposal.
