Description
Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL) is requesting information regarding the design, fabrication, potential assembly, and installation of a suspended work platform system. This system is needed to allow personnel to safely access regions of the MAGIS-100 experiment within a 100-meter deep vertical shaft. The platform at the top of the shaft will be accessed via ladders, while middle platforms will use a suspended scaffold or access basket. The bottom platform will be accessed via a scissor lift. A stabilizer assembly will be used to secure the scaffold or basket to the work platforms for safe transfer. The system must meet OSHA requirements and be rated for at least 8,000 lbs. Responses are requested to include design sketches, budgetary cost estimates, lead times, and assembly/installation procedures.
