Description

Lowell Area Schools is requesting firm-fixed-price quotations for Category 1 and Category 2 technology services and equipment. The scope includes a minimum 1 Gbps internet connection for nine buildings, potentially including private virtual circuits, domain registration, filtering, firewall and DHCP services, ISP-owned connectivity equipment, 99.97% uptime if available, 24/7 service with a four-hour maximum response time, and end-to-end maintenance. Bidders must itemize eligible and non-eligible components and provide a backbone configuration diagram. The district is also seeking approximately three core switches and associated licenses and parts; approximately 50 Ruckus ICX8200-48ZP2-E or equivalent switches, four ICX8200-24ZP or equivalent switches, related transceivers and components; one UPS; cabling, racks, antennas/connectors, installation, configuration, and maintenance. Core switches may be proposed under either Category 1 or Category 2. Multi-year contracts may be considered, and the district may select more than one provider for a service type. Vendors must have an E-rate SPIN, an active SAM.gov registration, and the required 2027 Service Provider Annual Certification Form 473 on file by September 1, 2027.
