Description

The U.S. Geological Survey requires a contractor to restore an approximately 0.3-acre wet stormwater retention pond to its original design capacity and functionality at the J. W. Powell Federal Building. The work includes sediment and sludge removal; removal of leaf debris, cattails, woody vegetation, trees, and non-native vegetation; inspection and restoration of the inlet trash rack; replacement of downstream riprap as needed; and inspection, maintenance, and repair of valves, sluice gates, locks, and access hatches. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, planning, permits, inspections, safety measures, site protection, regulatory compliance, nutrient-loading calculations, sediment disposal planning, work-plan submittals, project scheduling, reporting, and closeout documentation.
