Description
Harris County Department of Education's Institutional Review Board (IRB), registered with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, reviews proposed research involving human subjects. This is not a bid or contract opportunity; the electronic bidding system is being used to centralize IRB submission materials. Applicants must register as a supplier in the electronic bidding system and obtain Procurement Division approval before accessing the materials. A complete submission includes an Application for Research Cover Page, completed HCDE IRB Application, research tools or sample surveys/questionnaires where applicable, Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form, and informed consent letter. Supporting materials may include recruitment documents, research instruments, debriefing scripts, school or institutional permissions, data-security information, and other documents required by the application and checklist. The Principal Investigator must have a doctoral degree unless an approved exception applies, and submissions must be uploaded electronically through the system.
