Description
Scotland County is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide exclusive Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) response for the county on a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week basis. The selected contractor will be responsible for operating and maintaining at least three ALS-level ambulances within the service area, responding to approximately 7,100 emergency incidents annually. The scope of work includes providing all necessary administration, insurance, labor, vehicles, and equipment, and maintaining a physical base of operations within Scotland County. The contractor must meet or exceed a fourteen-minute response time for 90% of all 911 responses and comply with all North Carolina state regulations for EMS. The county is also building a new EMS Headquarters at 1403 West Boulevard, Laurinburg, NC.
