Description
The project involves restoration work along the shore of an ephemeral stream. Work includes removing undergrowth plant material (no trees), minor grading, and installing seed and blanket, along with miscellaneous work needed to complete the project as shown in the drawings and specifications. A bid bond is not required. If awarded, the contractor must provide a labor and material payment bond for at least 100% of the contract amount before construction begins. A performance bond for at least 100% is required before construction for projects of $50,000 or more and may be required for smaller projects at the Park District’s discretion. The contractor must also file a written substance abuse prevention program before work begins.
