Description
The Lansing Board of Water & Light seeks a contractor to remediate 33 priority steel transmission structures identified in a 2025 inspection. Work includes concrete foundation repairs, cleaning and protective coating of concrete foundations and steel poles, anchor-bolt wax-tape protection, and steel pole reinforcement by welding supplemental steel elements where specified. The solicitation provides structure-specific restoration recommendations and estimated quantities in an attached price schedule; bidders are asked to provide pricing and may note the services they can best provide. The contractor is responsible for site access coordination, any required traffic control, and notifying the utility of changed field conditions or additional scope. Work is expected to be completed in 2027. The proposal evaluation considers cost, ability to provide the requested services, prior work history with the utility, and delivery timeframe.
