Lansing School District Projects: SO-1862 Electrical Infrastructure for EV Chargers and BESS The Lansing School District will receive bids for Projects: SO-1862 Electrical Infrastructure for EV Chargers and BESS. Bidding documents will be available on or before October 19, 2026 on the School District's website (www.lansingschools.net) or the State of Michigan procurement site (SIGMA). A Virtual Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for 3:00 pm, local time, on Google Meet: Meeting link meet.google.com/fae-tnkv-nxs. This meeting is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for all bidders. Bids must be received at the Lansing School District Purchasing Office, ATTN: Purchasing, 519 W. Kalamazoo St, Lansing, Michigan 48933 before 2:00 pm local time Thursday, November 12, 2026. Bids will be opened publicly and read loud at 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 12, 2026 at the same location. All bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized Familial Relationship Affidavit, disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Lansing School District Board of Education or the Superintendent. The School District shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. A bid security bond of 5% is required to be submitted with each bid. The Lansing School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any informalities or irregularities therein, or to award the contract to other than the bidder submitting the best financial bid (low bidder), in its sole and absolute discretion. Description
Lansing School District seeks bids for electrical infrastructure and installation supporting four battery energy storage systems and electric vehicle chargers at four schools: North Environmental Science Magnet School, Pattengill Biotechnical Magnet School, Wexford Montessori Academy, and Cavanaugh STEAM Elementary School. The EV chargers are supplied by the owner. The work includes electrical wiring, grounding, raceways, underground electrical service, transformers, and switchgear, as detailed in the specifications and drawings. The project is expected to be completed by mid-August 2027. Bids must include a 5% bid bond and a sworn, notarized Familial Relationship Affidavit. A performance, labor, and materials bond covering 100% of the project will be required after award. The bid package also includes a supplier/vendor application, W-9, non-discrimination certification, non-collusion affidavit, Iran Economic Sanctions Act certificate, and legal-status/debarment certification. One original and two copies are required. Questions are due October 29, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. EDT, and bids are due November 12, 2026, before 2:00 p.m. EDT.
