Description
The Lansing Board of Water and Light seeks a five-year contract for landfill disposal of solid, non-hazardous waste generated by its activities. The utility will transport waste to the contractor's disposal facility. Waste streams include general waste; construction and demolition debris; sludge; friable and non-friable asbestos; non-RCRA, non-hazardous contaminated soils; and used tires. Acceptance is subject to the contractor's profiling and handling requirements. Bidders must provide unit pricing by waste class and minimum billing quantities, identify each proposed disposal facility and describe its capacity, accepted waste classes, compliance history, delivery restrictions, and rejection criteria. Responses must also include facility and service contacts, emergency procedures, waste-profiling instructions, requested safety data, and references. The selected contractor will provide monthly itemized invoices and maintain disposal records and reporting.
