The U.S. Geological Survey is soliciting quotations for non-personal next-generation sequencing services supporting metagenomics, whole genome sequencing, and whole transcriptome shotgun or RNA sequencing. The contractor must provide library preparation, quality-control checks, sequencing using Illumina, AVITI, Oxford Nanopore, or PacBio platforms, demultiplexed and raw data, secure data access, and related bioinformatics consultation and analysis. The scope also includes consultation on experimental design and sequencing technology, a web-based laboratory information management system for sample uploads, and written documentation of methods, reagents, kits, and equipment. The contractor must deliver sequencing data and associated quality-control information within 60 business days after receiving samples, maintain download access for at least 60 days, and provide an external hard drive for large data sets when needed. The BPA is firm-fixed-price, has a five-year period of performance, and is not to exceed $300,000. Amendment 0001 reopens the solicitation for full and open competition and provides the Statement of Work and pricing schedule; the updated quotation deadline is October 28, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
