Description
The City of Macon is soliciting sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and related construction work required for sewer system inspection and rehabilitation. The contract duration is 120 consecutive calendar days from the effective date in the Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages for late completion. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi law and provide a current Certificate of Responsibility showing authorization for the applicable construction classification and value. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate and include a qualifications statement describing similar projects, references with contact information, and key personnel. A bid bond or certified check equal to 5% of the bid is required. The successful bidder must provide payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, and comply with Davis-Bacon prevailing-wage requirements and the Build America, Buy America Act.
