ALBANY COUNTY ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID The State University of New York at System Administration will receive sealed bids for project number 360152-03 titled SUNY Global Center Cabling Project until 2:00 p.m. local time on October 21, 2026; at the H. Carl McCall Building, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. The scope of work includes, and is not limited to, to furnish and install structured cabling infrastructure in support of future security, access control, video surveillance, elevator access control, and emergency notification systems at 116 East 55th Street, New York, NY. A non-mandatory walk-through is available for those interested bidders. This project will have diversity goals including MBE, WBE, and SDVOB goals (set as 11%, 19% and 6%, respectively). It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.”

Description
The State University of New York seeks a contractor to furnish and install 78 new low-voltage cable runs at the SUNY Global Center: 44 Category 6 runs for camera and PoE locations and 34 control-cabling runs for access control, emergency buttons, elevator interfaces, and related systems. The work includes cable pathways, terminations where specified, labeling, testing, mapping, firestopping, weatherproofing, patching, and restoration. Furnishing or installing devices, equipment, programming, commissioning, and system integration are excluded. The contractor must provide three examples of similar projects completed as the prime contractor within the past five years. Bids require a cover letter, a signed proposal on the provided form, two complete copies (one with original signatures), bid security of 5% of the total bid, a New York State Department of Labor contractor registration certificate, and the specified bidder certifications and staffing plan. The bid is due November 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The contract period is up to six months after the Notice to Proceed; the agreement specifies substantial completion within 120 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. MBE, WBE, and SDVOB participation goals are 11%, 19%, and 6%, respectively.
