Description
The City of New Bedford Police Department is soliciting bids for the supply and delivery of firearm ammunition under a three-year fixed-pricing contract beginning October 1, 2026, and ending September 30, 2029. Requested items include 9mm 124-grain TMJ brass, 9mm 100-grain frangible lead-free, 9mm 124-grain +P tactical HST hollow point, 5.56 55-grain FMJ, and .223 50-grain frangible lead-free ammunition. Bidders must provide manufacturers, unit prices, extended prices, quantities per case, and total pricing for each contract year and the full three-year term. Deliveries will be made on an as-needed basis to the New Bedford Police Department Firearms Division, with potential lead times of up to 120 days. Vendors must hold and provide proof of a valid license to sell ammunition, comply with hazardous-material transportation and applicable regulatory requirements, and provide at least three similar contract references. The solicitation also requires specified insurance coverage, including $1,000,000 general liability, $2,000,000 general aggregate liability, statutory workers’ compensation, and $1,000,000 automobile liability coverage. Equivalent products may be proposed if the bidder provides sufficient supporting information and samples when requested.
