Description
The U.S. Air Force is conducting market research for a potential firm-fixed-price acquisition covering inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, mass notification systems, wet-pipe and pre-action sprinkler systems, clean-agent systems, and fire pumps. The contractor would furnish all personnel, equipment, tools, test instruments, materials, transportation, supervision, and related resources. Services include scheduled inspections and testing, monthly fire alarm panel checks, equipment and parts repair or replacement with government approval, and 24-hour repair response with service no later than four hours after notification. The work would support facilities at the Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome, the Newport Research Site, the Stockbridge Research Site in Oneida, and Defense Finance and Accounting Services in Rome, New York. The anticipated performance period is January 1 through December 31, 2027, plus five option periods, potentially extending performance through June 30, 2032. This is a Sources Sought notice rather than a solicitation or request for proposals. Respondents must provide a statement of interest, evidence of at least two similar projects completed as a prime contractor within the past five years, detailed past-performance information, a prime/subcontractor responsibility narrative, safety and quality-control methodologies, and documentation of applicable small-business status.
