Description
The City of Bellevue is soliciting proposals from one or more contractors to provide on-call electrical services at various municipal locations. The scope includes repair, maintenance, replacement, troubleshooting, and installation involving electrical service equipment, motor control centers, motor-starting systems, instrumentation, generators, lighting, wiring, ground faults, workstation circuits, and limited remote telemetry unit repairs. Work may occur in confined spaces, classified areas, and at heights up to 100 feet, and includes 24-hour emergency on-call service with a one-hour minimum response time. Contractors must provide appropriate personal protective equipment and documentation of relevant training, including high-voltage splicing, confined-space work, lockout/tagout, and scissor-lift operation. The amended scope also includes traffic signal equipment repair and replacement, new or temporary traffic signal poles, underground and overhead conductor installation, inductance loop repair or installation, traffic signal controller and service cabinet installation, streetlighting system repair and replacement, and repair or replacement of traffic-safety equipment such as rectangular rapid flashing beacons, school-zone flashers, radar feedback signs, and detection equipment. The contract is intended for small, limited-scope projects generally under $35,000 and work orders up to $90,000, excluding new construction, architectural or engineering design, permitting, and subcontracting. The awarded contract will have a three-year term with the City's option to renew for one additional year. Proposals must include scope and supplemental-criteria responses, pricing, qualification information, required affidavits and certificates, and signed proposal forms. Washington licensing, business registration, industrial insurance, prevailing-wage, and specified insurance requirements apply.
