Description
The Town of Manchester is soliciting proposals for a Request for Expression of Interest (RFEI) concerning the historic Town-owned building located at 18 Main Street. The Town is seeking to explore interest from qualified individuals, entities, or teams for acquiring the property for specific uses. Manchester is a community of nearly 60,000 residents and serves as a commercial, entertainment, and residential hub for the Greater Hartford region. The property for sale is a 0.85-acre parcel situated at the north end of Main Street, which previously housed administrative space for the 8th Utilities District. The site is zoned General Business (GB), allowing for mixed-use development including general public shopping, services, entertainment, and high-density residential development. The property is located on a major State road (Route 83) and is in proximity to residential neighborhoods and small commercial developments.
