Description
The Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC), acting as consortium lead for the California K–12 High Speed Network, is soliciting proposals for approximately 19 statewide service connections. Requested solutions include standalone data transmission, leased lit fiber, optional pairs of single-mode dark fibers, and Category One maintenance and operations, with requested capacities ranging from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps. Proposed services may include MEF-compliant Metro Ethernet, dedicated DWDM-based or direct-fiber point-to-point connections, and equivalent solutions. CENIC may award all, some, or none of the requested circuits and may make multiple awards. Responses must use the CENIC Pricing Worksheet (Exhibit D); PDF and locked spreadsheet responses are not accepted. Proposers must address the required administrative and technical responses, provide proposed terms and conditions as an editable Word document, include applicable service-level and installation information, and submit a signed nondisclosure agreement or confirm that a current NDA is on file to obtain aggregation hub-site addresses. The solicitation permits five-year pricing for managed or lit services and five-, ten-, fifteen-, or twenty-year terms for optional dark fiber, with possible annual extensions for certain contracts.
