Description
New York State Office of General Services, Design & Construction Group, on behalf of the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, is soliciting separate contracts for HVAC Work and Electrical Work under Project Nos. Q2078-H and Q2078-E. The project requires removal of a kitchen domestic hot-water heater and associated steam, condensate, domestic hot-water, and cold-water piping, expansion tank, supports, controls, and wiring, as well as replacement of various heating-water pumps across eight zones with associated valves, strainers, piping, supports, electrical circuits, disconnects, controls, and wiring. The work includes coordination of shutdowns, testing, adjusting, and balancing, compliance with applicable construction and safety requirements, and provision of updated panel directories and red-lined as-built drawings. The substantial completion date is 198 days after Comptroller approval of the Agreement. The solicitation establishes participation goals of 15% MBE and 15% WBE for HVAC Work, 3% SDVOB participation for each trade, and no MBE/WBE goals for Electrical Work; bidders must also provide bid security and successful bidders must furnish performance and labor-and-material bonds.
