Description
The Florida Municipal Power Agency is soliciting proposals for turnkey mechanical services during the Spring 2027 outage at Mulberry Energy Center. The work covers removal of existing cooling tower fan assemblies, gearboxes, driveshafts, oil lines, and torque tubes; furnishing and installing two new fan assemblies, gearboxes, driveshafts, oil lines, and mechanical supports; reinstalling existing electric motors; and completing mechanical alignment, fan blade pitch adjustments, and final equipment checks. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, tools, cranes, rigging, equipment, materials, and incidental services. The proposal must address the contractor’s capabilities and similar experience, staffing and resources, safety protocols, work schedule, subcontractors, references, insurance, licenses and certifications, and required bid forms. Deliverables include design and fabrication drawings, technical datasheets, welding procedures, bills of material, installation documentation, as-built drawings, maintenance documentation, and final operating measurements. The contractor must provide a five-year warranty on parts and workmanship, comply with applicable codes and OSHA requirements, and provide required safety and insurance documentation. The anticipated outage is March 1–16, 2027, with contractor access anticipated March 3–13 and all work completed by 5:00 p.m. on March 13.
