Description
The Town of North Hempstead is seeking qualified contractors to provide maintenance, emergency and non-emergency repair, servicing, replacement, removal, disposal, and new installation of boilers and related heating equipment. The scope includes hot-water, steam, hydronic, gas-fired pool heaters, Modine heaters, gas-, electric-, and oil-fired water heaters, burners, pumps, heat exchangers, controls, breechings, temporary heating or electrical equipment, permits, testing, and related labor and materials. The contractor must provide emergency response within four hours and commence non-emergency work within one week. Subcontracting requires prior Town approval. This is a requirements contract with no guaranteed minimum purchases or service requests. The Town may award to primary and secondary vendors and may award the work in whole or in part. Pricing is requested for steamfitters, sheet-metal workers, electricians, plumbers, project estimates, parts, boilers and equipment, and subcontractors. Work is subject to New York prevailing-wage requirements, certified-payroll obligations, applicable licensing, insurance, safety, and building-code requirements. The contract runs for two years from December 6, 2026, with two additional one-year renewal options and a possible extension of up to 90 days.
