Description
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is seeking bids to establish a purchase order for replacing two boilers at the San Saba Unit. The work includes removal and disposal of existing boilers and installation of two 1,000 KBTU gas-fired, hot-water condensing boilers, associated pumps and materials, copper piping repairs, insulation, natural-gas and water connections, electrical reconnection, leak checks, startup, temperature adjustment, delivery-system checks, and repairs to malfunctioning thermostatic mixing valves. The contractor must provide product and equipment submittals, a delivery schedule, installer-qualification documentation where applicable, field services, testing, warranties, factory startup assistance, and training for TDCJ maintenance personnel. The specifications require a 25-year heat-exchanger warranty and at least a one-year warranty for other components. The proposal must be submitted as a PDF through the electronic procurement portal.
