Description
JXN Water is soliciting bids for construction of a new 20-inch-diameter water pipeline and fittings at the MMC Yard. The work includes connections to existing 20-inch pipelines, abandonment of an existing 20-inch main, mobilization, stormwater pollution prevention measures, fence removal and replacement, and surface restoration. The project specifies PVC pipe and approved-equal products, with revised joint and restraint requirements issued in Addendum No. 1. The solicitation is a lump-sum construction bid requiring a Mississippi-licensed contractor. The project has a 120-calendar-day performance period, requires a 5% bid bond and 100% payment and performance bonds, and requires electronic and paper responses. A mandatory onsite pre-bid meeting is limited to two representatives per bidder. Addendum No. 1 must be acknowledged in PlanetBids and on the signed bid form; the addendum removes the Build America, Buy America provisions from the specified contract section and revises the PVC pipe specification.
