Description
The City seeks a qualified lodging provider, current on applicable City hotel/motel taxes, to provide approximately 60 clean, safe, accessible hotel rooms for winter sheltering from November 2026 through April 2027. The provider must also accommodate two additional spaces for the winter shelter coordinator, City staff or service providers, and Champaign City Police officers to use for on-site service delivery and support. Respondents must describe their experience providing lodging for emergency services and working with community-based service providers, demonstrate capacity to begin service within seven days of a signed agreement or as otherwise negotiated, and provide a budget for up to 60 rooms plus the two support spaces. The City expects regular coordination with the winter shelter coordinator and relevant City staff, reporting and data submission, and participation in identified training. The intended service period may be extended based on the City's needs.
